"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

This is probably the most insignificant, meaningless and useless thread I've ever started or ever will start...but darn it...I LOVE fiddleheads! I love this time of year because they are in season! I made some for dinner tonight and damn it they were SO GOOD!

If you have no clue what I'm talking about...I feel bad for you because fiddleheads are AWESOME...and you are really missing out!

Oh yeah...and Glenn Beck ROCKS! He got his rant on tonight about personal responsibility...and it was freaking beautiful....watch it.

That's all...

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

No...you eat them...and they are yummy! If you live somewhere that has ostrich ferns that's where they come from. You pick them when they are a couple of inches sprouted out of the ground, clean them really good and then steam or boil them for 10 minutes. They are SO GOOD! I love all vegetables, though...so if someone doesn't like vegetables they might not like them. If you ever get a chance to try them...DO IT! :woo:

My Mother used to make this sh!t for my brother and I when we were kids. Tastes like swollen foot and hot ass. This sh!t is strictly for the birds . . .

That means you Bird

I always had you pegged as a snot-nosed brat who wouldn't eat his vegetables!

They taste a little like asparagus, but softer texture.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

If you like asparagus then something is seriously wrong if you don't like fiddleheads. The only thing I can figure is that your Mom didn't clean them well or either under or over cooked them. You pick them wild and there is a brownish/orangish film on the stems that need to be completely removed or it makes them kinda bitter.

I thought this thread was about sh!tty bluegrass jam bands. Then I would have had to have gone on a rant.

lol...were you picturing a bunch of barefoot groupies in tie dye t-shirts and overalls carrying around a washtub, old washing board in the back of an old VW bus?

Nah I was actually imagining a bunch of neo hippies doing the hippy-dippy stoner dance at some jamfest while reeking of ditchweed and BO.

Wyldfire you just spend a span of an hour on a forum talking about fiddleheads.

Do you feel accomplished in your life?

Is that anything like ostrich poop? I know some people who have ostriches on their farm and could send you some dumplings.

Oh wait, those are emus. Nevermind.

Nah it is actually quite a normal type of thread for Anything Else.

I think you have made a lot more "meaningless and useless" threads other than this one :). Not holding that against you though; it happens.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
