"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I am a RAFC. I am trying to get over my shyness and paranoia (I was assaulted as a child). So as a result I had trouble telling the difference from peoples affections and actual assaults and as a result I was a little trigger happy. Yes I am getting help.

I have been having as many conversations with people as I can. I work in a phone fundraiser on campus and it has helped a lot. I try to ask people as many questions about themselves as possible while not talking about myself unless asked.

I was talking to this one chick in art class and she was maintaining eye contact with me, her pupils were dialated. Faced me partially and was smilling back. I teased her about her being wuss for not liking hiking since she planned on talking geology next semester. Which I am majoring in. I was not sure whether or not to ask her for her digits. Got a nice laugh from her. Then I talked to a few other students and did not look at her for the rest of the class.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

How can you be "not sure" whether to ask for her digits? You can read two threads on here and know that you ALWAYS ask for digits.

I'm not sure what were discussing here.... if its the digits thing, then yeah... woods has pretty much rapped that up.

But either way... congrats dude.
Got no idea what it must be like to go through that kinda stuff but it sounds hard and it also sounds like your doing pretty awesome! Reading signs and getting the basics down.
Nice work... but yeh... definitely get those digits
