"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Okay I'll make this brief as possible. I'm a 40 year old, not bad looking divorced man. Took me a while to get my head together after I split up with my ex. but several months ago I found my stride, and was pulling/meeting several girls a week.

Of these girls started seeing a few of them; one of them an incredibly attractive slightly older woman. She dresses well, holds herself well and has every man from 19 - 80 staring at her, every time she walks into a bar. She has dated various famous people and lots of millionaires but we really hit it off.

We started seeing each other casually, and both said we don't do relationships. However, after about 6 weeks I started to go all Beta and fell for her. I knew she was a female alpha and that we both dated (and slept with) other people. But a combination of her still seeing her ex and me falling for her meant the sexual side of things fell away.

I still see her once or twice a week, and we will drink wine, cook food, laugh, and be very open with each other - but the sexual side seems to have disappeared. She came to me the other night after a business meeting in a tight black dress, high heels and stockings and I thought WOW, but making a move just seemed impossible, but the first night I met her it was easy.

Is there a way out of the friend zone, or should I keep enjoying her company. And if I do will it increase my SMV or just mean I'll compare every other woman too her.

TL;DR Help me out of the friend zone brother.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

If I were in your shoes, I would probably keep dating casually, but keep seeing her and see where it leads.

What's the Hurry?

That sums it up so well. Not heard the song, but think I'm going have a drink, and a smoke and play me some Dre. Thank you!

Thanks pdx. the problem is being seeing each other 3 months and feel I'm getting more friend zoned every time I see her.

I text her about going out for a Christmas meal. She said she was looking forward to it, but never told me what she wanted to eat so I can preorder. I also asked if she wanted to pop over tonight in the same text. A simple no, she is busy would be nice.

I need to up my game. I was spinning 7 plates last month, but think I'm going to end up witha floor full of broken crockery. :)
