I'm relatively new to Tinder. I have my age settings set fairly broad (24-42) and at 47 the only likes I seem to get are 24 year olds. Besides their age, each has 3 profile photos and a very brief maybe dozen word bio, they include words like cinema instead of movies, and the names seem weird. Inevitably, they message first. In the end they are either promoting webcam sex or some sort of verification scam to get your credit card number.

I'm sure I am not the only who has had this happen to them.

What do you look for when screening out the fakes?

I look for:
more than 3 photos
some thought put into description
something in the photo that looks like it could have been taken in your locale
don't look overly produced

any others?

Besides the obvious promoters, some of these are bound to be bots. The only purpose I can think of for their existence is to keep you interested in coming back.

No bio/bad grammar bio/only three pictures/generic hot girl vibe, basically.
