"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

This isn't a thread on how to pass classes but a thread on the ramifications of failing two classes in college. I fully admit that I was being a dumbass this semester since I've gone to a total of 4 classes in one of my courses and that I've only turned in 5 hw assignments out of about 20 and skipped a 25 point quiz in the other course. Actually it's still possible for me to fail a thiird course but I don't really think I will, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised. Realistically I'm looking at about a 1.7 to 2.0 semester gpa and overall gpa of around 2.9.

At my uni you can repeat lower division courses and they will only count the higher grade on your gpa so in terms of gpa it's as if you never failed. But the failed courses still go on my transcript and that's more what I was worried about. Would future employers see that transcript and if they do and from now on out I get a 4.0 would they even care? Basically these will be the only classes I've ever failed, and in terms of my learning growth may actually help in the long run since it's actually making me care about my grades and learning. But future employers may not care about that. So how screwed long-term am I?

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I wouldn't worry about it as much as it sounds like you're doing. Most employers/grad schools look at you holistically, i.e. how you grew as a student, rather than overall. You should be fine, just work hard from now on.

Actually when you apply for really high positions when you are just out of UNI, some major employers will turn out people who "let themselves relax" some time during their scholastic career. But it's pretty uncommon, they usually look at the overall GPA.
