"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Hi, everyone. I am a long time lurker. Like most of you, I want to make a change in my life, and getting hot babes are a part of it.

I was recently motivated to action. A few months ago, I had stage 4, verge-of-death lymphoma. I was in constant pain and couldn't walk. Everyone expected me to die within weeks. Somehow, things like whether girl X likes me or not or whether I should ask out such and such didn't matter as much.

When the pain abated (i.e. when the morphine hit) I was left only with regrets. Tons of girls that liked me but I was too chicken to ask out. I also lost many opportunities in other facets of my life. I faced my own death with much more courage than I've faced girls. We're weird like that. Everyone should search for that resolve; we all have it. It took cancer for me to find it.

Now I'm in remission, one more chemo session to go. I have recovered faster than everyone's expectations. Not only can I walk, but I'm excercising regularly and am getting strong. I'm reclaiming my body and it feels great.

Cliche, but now I want to live my life to the fullest. I will be here from time to time to post stupid questions and give uninformed ideas, but also to post success stories and track my progress. Wish me luck! Not that I need it...

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

awe-inspiring to say the least. I take my hat off to you sir. Those who have looked into the radiant abyss, and clawed their way back have known the dying man's remorse and the young man's resolve all at once. You have had a near life experience, my friend. The world prostrates itself before you and your new found insight. You are man incarnate! You are the angel-demon whom God and Satan smiled upon in the beginning of days, when the world was naive and the finding was the taking. I envy you as much as it is possible to envy someone, and more. All the luck to you.

This is going to be my official "bootcamp" thread where I'll post my progress. Even just months later, I sometimes have to be reminded of what I faced and how trivial girls are in comparison.

Thanks guys, for your support. I'm sarging on Friday. Even if I fail spectacularly, I'll tell you what happened and what I learned.

LedRambo, I envy your writing! Wow...

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Yes, smooth, we ALL have the resolve to get what we want. I almost died finding it, but I had it all along.

I'm not special or anything. Just an rAFC who happened to have cancer. Thanks for getting the point of my post.

This could be golden with the women. "We have to make the most of today... I might not be here tomorrow." You can be like the soldier about to go away to war.

Congrats on having a postive attitude. This will keep you alive long after the chemo has done its work.

I wouldnt try to play up the "poor me" aspect of all this though. Talk about the positive effects of facing death...how your perspective is so different and you have finally learned how to live for a change.

*****es don't fukk dudes who feel sorry for themselves

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I've been thinking about the "cancer" angle. At the very least it gets attention. I don't know about initial meetings cause I'm supposed to keep everything light and funny, but during a later date I'll try it! Thanks.

It wasn't all bad. Besides the motivation to live, cancer did two things for me. One, I lost a lot of weight -- 70 pounds in a month. Two, I found out I look badazz bald. Now I shave my head.

Chin up, spider. I'm sure most of us would agree that rejection doesn't hurt that much. Go find out!

First approach down, many more to go! She was hot, but married.

Two other prospects identified, but it was inconvenient to approach.

This is fun.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
