"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

After reading David Shade's EC experiment over at mASF I decided to do it an see what happens.

The idea is you lock your gaze on one chicks eye as soon as you see her and keep it there.

If she smiles you do, if she says hi then you do. If not you do not.

You remain a neutral face unless she smiles.

Anyway this was done on Thursday morning, I found that when I locked on the girl would fix her gaze straight ahead, or look at me quickly then glance sideways away from my gaze.

Other girls would just remain head down zombie like.

Has anyone had any extensive experience with this?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Yeah I've noticed this too. Sometimes it can be the expression on your face. If you make yourself have a pleasant expression, like a slight smile, I find that people are generally more receptive.

I dont know wether this is just english/western chics?

When I was in Rhodes, Greece, I remember the girls there, you would look at them and they would hold your gaze and smile slightly, like they really wanted you to talk to them.

It's weird, I dont know if they are intimidated or what, because I am a reasonable looking guy, with alpha BL. Maybe they just cant handle it and dont want to be approached or hassled in the morning?

Comments?

Where are you doing this?

I live in London and it's harder to do here because in cities (particularly in England I find) people can be a bit insular...unless it's about 11:30pm on public transport and they've had a few drinks.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

I did this out at a club one night when I was learning how to implement some of these things.

Having a smile on your face is better than a vacant stare.

What is about 10X better than having a normal smile, is having a half-smile.

You know that little satisfied grin you get sometimes?
I have been told constantly that it makes me look like I'm "up to something".

Combine that EC and the little smile.
Its so on.

It works almost too well.

absolutely. you've gotta smile, otherwise you look creepy. a smile also shows confidence, like "i'm looking at you and i want you to know i like you"

If you don't have a slight smile, the girl will feel like you're staring at her.

Another thing I do to prevent staring is to look in the general direction of the girl (so I can see her, but not looking directly at her) until she is turning my way, then make eye contact.

When I try to make eye contact the girls will smile or give a slight smile. I think the slight smile is a sign of shyness. I notice that the better dressed the girl the more likely she will smile. In every case I never smile first and always have a neutral face when I look at them.

I think that if you are confident girls will sense it and smile. I remember trying this experiment back when I had low self-esteem and most girl would just ignore me.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

People with low self-esteem also tend to avoid eye contact, so that might be another reason why they are averting their gaze from your EC.

I've got a problem with this.
I've done the whole EC experiment and do it quite often to boost confidence...but I'm short sighted.
It doesn't seem to work when I'm wearing my glasses (I can't wear contacts)...when I've been without glasses I look to wear the girls eyes are (as a thin figure approaches)....but then notice their face ain't nearly as nice as their figure and I'm looking at them. eurgh!

I know I look much better to chicks without my glasses, but the flip side is that I can't see a damned thing further than about 20 feet from me.

as a fellow near sighted guy I feel for ya. I actually have contacts also, so i can choose... but I've actually been told I look better in my glasses. so if you don't feel confident with your glasses you need to change that.

one word of advice, the next time you get a chance, go try on lots of frames and get yourself one that works well.

the last time I got glasses, i stopped settling for a cheap pair and got a nice trendy black rimmed rectangular frame design... I also asked for a lot of help picking it out... basically if you have a round face, like mine, you want angular square frames... and if you have a hard chiseled face with lots of long angles, you want a round glasses... that was what i was told.

anyway, I walk around all the time with glasses and it doesn't seem to effect my EC yet... at least that's not a problem i've noticed.

I am a strong believer in winning the initial EC battle.

SHE LOOKS AWAY FIRST. Or its a staredown.

It's as primitive as it can be. I stare at my prey, let them know who the man is, when they show there weakness by looking away... I am the one with the power

Eye Contact works really well

the one where you make it while talking to an HB of course

I had this chick in class and I was just profilin some eye contact after reading about it here

for some reason, she was hooked

everyday she'd start a convo and show signs

eye contact while a convo really works

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

EC is one of the most important things in a DJs arsenal.

I've read a number of studies that all come to the same basic conclusion-that eye contact with a chick your DJing/sarging/whatever will tip the odds in your favor pretty substantially.

First, it makes the brain release PEA. If you don't know what it is, Google it because I'm just too lazy to type it out. But **** the studies...I've been using this EC thing to my advantage for almost a year now with kickass results.

Not only with women, but in life in general, good EC skills display confidence.
