"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

quick opinion needed about pickups at the gym.

go to the gym...HB8 goes to the gym same times as I do. We're probably in there 4 or 5 days a week at the same time. She's always on the treadmill jogging and on her damn cellphone half the time but not really talking much. Anyways she was/is in a sorority, I'm guessing she's a senior or just graduated and have seen her in a sorority sweatshirt once. I did the frat thing so I know how these broads can be connected to the phone and kindy *****y about pickups they don't approve of. I'm in the med school at her current/former school so I should be ok in her eyes given that these girls are all very socially aware and the MD thing is usually gold in their eyes.

Anyways...every time I come in she checks me out..we get some good eye contact going but I don't do any smiling at the gym. Its golds gym for christs sake. Every time I go to get some water in front of her she stares again but no smiles either way. This crap has been going on for a while now and I need to make a move but short of leaving when she does I'm low on ideas.

Am I reading too much in the fact that 75% of the time I get in her line of sight she's checking me out? I have 0 familiarity with the gym pickup and the signs they send out at the gym if any. Oh and she actually runs there and isn't one of those walk for 30 min. on the treadmill broads.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Point out some little form issue that she should be doing. "Oh, when you do lat pull downs, you really should arch your back and pull into your chest" and go from there. I think that opener is decent enough, it sort of sets you up as sort of a dominant expert type of guy... just don't **** it up or she'll think of you as a personal trainer or a coach or something.

There's other good gym openers but I'm too lazy right now to type them all.

Every Gym around the world has guys saying the same sh*t, just say "Hi" and see how she reacts.
Please do NOT give advice unless asked for.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Gym know-it-alls are the lowest of the low :D - People generally don't want uninvited "advice" like that. It's annoying.

I have been wondering about gym approaches myself though - Thus far I've used "Are you using that?" (as in a piece of equipment), but actually only when I've genuinely wanted to use something :D

well, I;m kind of a workout n00b so I don't actually know what most of the machines do. The other day, shortly before I left, I went up to a fairly hot girl at my school gym who was using one machine that I had been working with earlier. I said, "Hey, I use this machine, too. Do you know what it does?" She was pretty receptive to me. (But when I asked her what sport she played, she mentioned the fact that she was still in high school so I kinda bailed at that point.) And she said she didn't know what the machine did either, lol...

Yeah I see your points. I really don't cold approach at the gym and probably shouldn't have even opened my mouth on something I don't know much of.
