Had to share this.
My job means there's a police scanner on in the background at work and I heard this gem:
Police dispatcher: Unit 2, can you go to 123 Smith St and take up with David Jones? His girlfriend hasn't heard from him in a week and is concerned.
(10 minutes later) Officer: Dispatch, we've just spoken to Mr Jones and he says he broke up with informant 10 days ago and has no desire to communicate with her.
I p1ssed myself laughing and thought: "Good on ya pal!"
Reminded me of a time my best buddy went ghost on a plate and didn't reply to 20 texts. Even the ones that said: "Can you at least just reply so I know you're alive!"
Awesome. These are examples of a hamster running itself to death and I love it.
