"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I would just say no if it wasn't a POOL party. I don't exactly know if it'll be deep out there but I feel that there is a good chance that she'll have alot of people there.

On facebook she posted the event and I got an invitation (not all 100 of her facebookfriends got one so it seems as though i was handpicked).

If I'm not sprung on this gurl, why do I wanna go you ask? Because for one, she goes to another school and has a bunch of friends that I don't know (mostly the females are that I care about). I've seen some pictures and they pretty.

She don't ever call me anymore, so I mean... I dunno. We just sent a couple of messages back and forth thru myspace. This is a party that could be the jumpoff so I do kinda wanna go, but confronting my ex (especially if her new boyfriend is there, I'mma have to try extra hard not to "be nice") is another story.

If I do go though, I'mma bring like a crew so... OK I think I'll go.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Hmm, I didn't think about bringin a date.

typical, that seems like a good idea

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

If it weren't her birthday party I'd say go ahead and sarge the women there. I wouldn't do it because it's her birthday party so the majority of who she invited would be her friends. What are the chances that your ex hadn't told them about you and your breakup? What kind of attitude would these people have toward you? Isn't this why you asked whether you should go or not?

I say bring a date. At least she will be with you and be there for your behalf, not your ex's. In a nutshell, she'd have your back. Your ex and her friends will see that you have successfully moved on. Plus it'll give them all something to talk about and you can watch in amusement as they react to you and your date.
