I think this is so. She is kind of hung up on him.. but she does show some interest in me. But I'm sure if he showed even a little interest in her, it would mess up my game a bit.. basically how do I show her I'm the better man? You should just make yourself scarce for a while, as she sorts out whatever relationship BS she has going on with her ex. It sucks to be the rebound guy - but if she has feelings for her ex he will always have the upper hand.
