HOW TO VIEW YOURSELF
-----------------------------------------
Don't be a doormat
You are a capable individual, but if you allow yourself to get used, how can you redeeme yourself? You've only made yourself into a good for nothing doormat that gets walked all over by others.
You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
*Salt made a good perservative for flavoring meat in anchient times, but would lose it's effect through use and often thrown out in the street where people would walk on it.
You are the prize
You are the grand prize, a present can not be withheld from the receiver. Neither can a trophy be hidden away in a dark closet, they put the trophy in a showcase to show off to anyone who chances upon it. In the same way as this trophy, shine so others will thank God for your fineness.
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Chumps and Champs
I came to live the law of life. Until the end of the world as we know it not one bit of this law will be changed and all of it has been performed. Those who don't follow are chumps, and those that do follow are champs.I'm telling you that unless your behaviour surpasses that of other men you will never see paradise.
Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
*The new covenant promise is a DJ principle, you live the law of life so you don't become subservient to others that do.
Focus on today
Stop worring about life, eating, drinking, your body, what to wear. Isn't your existance more important than food and your body more important than your clothes? God feeds these sparrows and they don't store away unnecessarily, so are you inferior to these sparrows? Don't spend time worrying about it. And why worry about clothes? Lillies do crap to clothe themselves, but even solomon with all of his wealth couldn't dress better than one of these water lillies. If he can cloth plants can't also God clothe you? Just seek God and his kingdom and those things will all be taken care of; stop worrying about unnecessary things that will happen tommorow and focus on the problems you are facing at this very moment.
"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; And yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

HOW TO TREAT OTHERS
-----------------------------------------
Admit your mistakes
Everyone knows that murder is illegal and is punishable by the law, but what I say is that anyone who become unreasonably becomes angry with his brother will be held subject to the law. Don't be the one who makes trouble. If you have caused problems then admit you are wrong before you have action taken against you; otherwise you're going to pay big time.
You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.'But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, Leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny.
*Leaving your gift before the alter* is an idiomatic expression understood by those who spoke greek. People would leave gifts in front of statues of pagen deities in exchange for their blessings. It's hypocritical to leave these gifts if you don't wish the same for someone else.
Be Direct
You have heard people say, "Don't make promises you can't keep."
Here's I what I say to that, Don't make any promises to anyone for any reason, just
say yes and do it or so no and don't do it; otherwise your motive is just wrong.
Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.'But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God's throne;Nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.
How to treat others
Maybe you have heard the phrase, "do to others what they do to you"
Here's what I say, If someone throws crap at you, then put him into a position where he can't and don't throw any back. If you are forced to consider someone else's boundries, then learn some humility. When you are forced to work for a living do more than you have to, and give, and let people borrow from you.
"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.'But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.
*"A slap on the right cheek" is culturely idionatic meaning that traditionally people ate with their right hand and crapped with the other, By turning the other cheek you arn't putting them into a position to throw **** at you, but rather with the more respectable hand.
*Civil courts are to discuss disputes between two people; someone was overtly aggressive or forceful.
*Traditionally military and supply drafts were common in anchient israel and citizens were forced to march long miles for the sake of the government. Sometimes they would also borrow carts and other needed supplies locally with the intent of return or payment. The fact that the items may not be returned or payment not received is not considered in the context.
