"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

My ex and I have been friends for a while now; it's going on two years. Anyway, I asked her the other day what her new year's resolution was. She says, "It's a secret." Then she asks me what mine is. I tell her that I'm not telling until she tells me hers. She does not comply. So I just let it go, until last night as I was about to go to bed. I assumed she was playing the first time and thought she might actually tell me. Of course, she doesn't. She tells me she can't tell me. This frustrates me to no end. Why wouldn't she be able to tell me something like that? I kind of prodded a little bit, but she wouldn't budge, so I just said **** it. What do you do in a situation like this? Do you just act like you couldn't care less? I've never given her any reason not to trust me.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

You drop it and never bring it up again. You shouldn't care if she has secrets - this is an ex-GF and she has no obligation to do anything you want.

It's probably really nothing anyway, and if it something, I bet it's not important. I think she is just playing with you and she loves it that you can't handle it.

I wouldn't get into this situation in the first place. Lets face it, this friendship with the EX is bull$hit. I am guessing she dumped you and you took the "Lets just be friends" bait but in actuality you still want to fvck her.

But instead of moving on you decided (or rather she decided) to put "specific boundries" on the relationship which mostley involves you not being able to touch her or get too close to her, while still hoping that some day you will. She on the other hand loves the fact that you can provide her with constant attention and doesn't need to screw you and can go fvck someone else. Yep you are like a dog tied to a leash with a muzzle on and you are mad!

Be free and take away the leash and muzzle she placed on you and end this experiment and you won't have to act like that and think like that.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I understand what everyone here is saying, but her nyr isn't really the point. It was just a simple, honest question that she didn't want to answer for some reason.

Why do you care so much then?

Lets say your NYR was to fvck as many girls as possible in 2007. Would you tell her that?? I think you got your answer.

Most chicks NYR is to find love and for her it ain't you, so why should she tell you?? it will only hurt you, and after all she needs you around for attention so she can have her cake and eat it too.
