"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Let me elaborate.

I'm no AFC. I might not be the most ultra-DJ around, but I've gone past the phase of acting like a whipped b!tch. However, for the past few weeks or so, I've been going soft over this girl, who's a grade under me. She's the President of the Student Council, top 10% of her class, etc., and easily an HB 8.

I have a leg up on the competition, since I'm taking her to prom, but lately, I've been turning AFC. Calling semi-incessantly, being scared of escalating kino, etc. It sort of scares me, but I guess that's what I get for hanging around idiotic girls that are bound to fail. When a quality person comes around, I get weak in the knees.

Hey, don't kill yourself over it. It happens to everyone. Believe it or not, but girls find it cute--to a point. Don't overdo it.

Just remember, she's going to the prom with you. This HB is with YOU, no one else. So relax, the hardest part is done. Clearly she likes you, so there is no need to be insecure. Life is too short to worry, and wonder what if.

Oh, and a common misconception is AFCing is bad. To be the DJ, you need to be a little AFC. Nothing in extreme doses, my friend. An important life lesson. Stay away from the extremes--never overdo!

That's something I'm still working on... lol

But don't worry so much if you go a little AFC. I mean, it would be a little weird if you didn't, to tell the truth. I'm sure even the best have their AFC moments.
