In 1918, Paul Popenoe and Roswell Hill Johnson wrote “Applied Eugenics,” to explain “the practical means by which society may encourage the reproduction of superior persons and discourage that of inferiors.” It became the most widely assigned college textbook on the topic; it was also translated into German. Where Grant blamed “swarms of Polish Jews” and the like, and “half-breeds,” Popenoe and Johnson blamed college girls. Education, they warned, “is tending toward race suicide”: “Many a college girl of the finest innate qualities, who sincerely desires to enter matrimony, is unable to find a husband of her own class, simply because she has been rendered so cold and unattractive, so overstuffed intellectually and starved emotionally, that a typical man does not desire to spend the rest of his life in her company.” (Popenoe was, at the time, unmarried. Two years later, at the age of thirty-two, he married a nineteen-year-old dancer.)

You keep trotting these interesting finds out....I enjoyed this one,yeah.... bet he had an interesting few years with the Dancer....I have found after protracted exposure to several dancers (Not all at once I assure you,nothing kinky about the old Scarra)that these Women are very good in bed,fit,strong legs and coordinated,a good combination...even better is a Dancer who works out,later on in a relationship,being used to the pain and rigour of repetition exercise,she will tend to turn on tricks for you,without feeling its a chore or an ordeal.

Oddly enough I got it off one of the posts (can't find the link right now) from Christian woman's blog. There are a number of blogs like this out there. These women are anti-feminist and anti-modern woman. There are posts by about women submitting to their husbands, etc.

Yes, I will read just about anything on the internet.

EDIT: To keep things in perspective with that girl's site, remember in 1918 we saw the utter failure of male leadership as they sacrificed millions of young men in grinding trench warfare for basically nothing. Eugenics and racism resulted in the Holocaust. When you think about the good old days... maybe they weren't. Just sayin'

There is so much cool stuff out there on various blogs right now. Girls are getting involved in the discussion too, mostly through commenting though some are starting to write. It's a very interesting time since it's reclaiming the public discourse back from corporate media, which is a good thing.

Uh.. ok, but what does this have to do with anything? There was never an argument made that things were better in the past or that there were any "good old days". The only thing argued was that feminism was see even back then for the danger it is.

Because of human nature there never was utopia, and there never can be utopia.
