"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Well guys the thing is I'm normally a rather strong guy but occasionally I have these episodes of extreme weakness. Like when I could usually without much effort do 30x4 reps of pushups (I'm not training regularly, just experimenting occasionally..) , somehow there are days when I am having difficulty with just 30x1 ! Is this normal. Any comments/ideas?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

30x4? 120 reps? Could be a good thing, could be a bad thing. How heavy are you? If you are thin, than you should bulk up first if you want weightlifting to do anything for you. Read the "for skinny guys" thread and you'll understand. If you are large, and you just have underdeveloped muscles than you should focus on working your muscles for strength instead of endurance. Having weak muscles and overexrting yourself to lift your own body weight shouldn't be an issue, and if it is you may injure yourself.

What are you doing on your weak days? Is it your mental state, are you so depressed that lifting makes you want to cry, or are you just lifting and going "unnn, but its too heavyyyyy"? Get your head set on lifting if you're going to start pumping you put your entire head into it, don't let yourself get distracted by the rest of your life unless its going to get you to push even harder.

You sound like you're underdeveloped. Either atrophy of your muscles under the fat, or just a lack of nutrients. So you need to begin with the basics. Some curls, and aerobics should be your main workout. Get some blood flowing to your muscles. Come back in a week and choose a regimen that sounds good to you and stick with it, its better to have a good mental state so you continue your progress, rather than choosing a gruelling regimen that'll make you want to quit early.

Diet. Sleep. Recovery. Illness.

Could be any, or a combination of any of those problems.

Your head isn't in the right spot. I have those days where I go to the gym only because I feel I should. Those are the days when I suck at the gym period.

You need to watch a little hardcore choke + anal porn, listen to some metal or rap, punch some **** then go hit the gym.

thank you for replies. I joined a gym yesterday and it was one of those bad days. I performed terrible, lifting about the same as I did in school back when I was 16y/o and 10kg lighter :s . Must be the 3x a week vodka/beer+antibiotics I'm eating lately. Lets try dropping 'em.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Well I was going to say depression but all those chemicals can't be good for your performance either. Rest up, and when that infection subsides hit the gym.

I am sure many have those weeks where last week you pumped away at big poundage and then this week you have to lower it to get through the workout or you have to do less sets.

I believe that is normal and of coarse it depends on age too but I know when it happens to me I hate it cause my mind is ready but my body seems to say leave me alone.

It happens, so dont worry about it unless its everyday. I've trained for 10yrs and I have them too. Sometimes days just suck, and sometimes they rock. As Forrest Gump says....**** happens.

No need to worry. Your going to have them, and that's life.
