By the way...engineering might be the only field in which your undergraduate studies is more important than your graduate (Masters). Furthermore, you don't really need a graduate degree as engineering you can actually take couple exams to become LICENSE (eg. Professional Engineer).

that's not quite accurate, ever since 2000, the dot com bust, and all the outsourcing, the job market has gotten way more competitive. I'm sitting in class with guys whose bosses MADE them go back to school to get an MS

and in the US, the PE License is something thats given emphasis if you wanna work government jobs or do consulting. If you wanna work industry, like design IPODS or something, that Masters degree is way more important

All I will say is, do not do it for the money or some other superficial reason. Unless you really enjoy this stuff (I didn't..) you will hate it.

definately... school is a challenging grind consisting of mostly applied math, and your career will a sausagefest with the potential for long hours and "take your work home with you" situations
