Kenturkey
Don Juan
For anyone interested, here's my mame machine.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
Attraction runs on a clock.
She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.
The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."
One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.
Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
She's 25. And you're right. I'll never announce my intentions to anyone ever again... That's for sure.sounds good
stop alerting other males that your chick is the bomb
how old is she ?
i am 26 and i used to play burger time on commodore 64
You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
I don't know about you, boys and girls, but I'm taking that as a hit. :woo: And don't ask about the "obsessive tongue checking" that was part of my email. ;-)very cute...
i'm feeling better already, I mean the obsessive tongue checking has decreased considerably
thanks for the smile, ok actually i laughed out loud, anyway... you made my day

Shawn is the guy from church who jumped my claim and asked her out before i got a chance to.ME: there's THIS picture...
ME: << Picture of my girl, and her ex from highschool hanging out at Henry Clay's Statue >>
ME: grr.
ME:
ME: that's apparently the ex from high school who's "just a friend"... Oh how the scorpio jealousy boils.
Becki: ooo...jealousy coming out?
Becki: funny
Becki: just friends, she keeps reassuring you,
Becki: so apparently that's a good thing, if she doesn't want u to misinterpret anything
Becki: about Shawn, or the ex, or anyone else
Becki: oh, ywah, saw shawn last night.
ME: yeah, but that was a week ago... maybe the flame of desire has grown since they've been together all this time...
Becki: i hafta admit, he's quite the stud muffin
Becki: i think u should definitely feel threatened
Becki: ha
Becki: not!!
ME: well, she said she'd go out with him!
Becki: oh puhlease!
ME: so he must be doing something right.
ME:
Becki: she told shawn she'd go out with him?
Becki: i didn't know she said yes
ME: well, she said he asked.
ME: i assumed it was a yes.
Becki: don't assume anything
Becki: it makes an 'ass out of u m me'
ME: well, like i said, her exact words were "i don't know how you want to handle this, but shawn already asked me out"
ME: that's all i know.
ME: before i could ask her any questions about it, she was like "but, call me again sometime, blah blah blah" and we hung up.
ME: so...
ME: of course now, asking about it would show some signs of insecurity. which i'm not, i'm just curious.
Becki: yes, i think u r a little insecure, but that's normal
Becki: and curious
ME: the only thing i'm REALLY insecure about right now is this whole wait-a-month thing.
ME: just not sure how to do it.
ME: i don't think i've had to since like 10th grade.
ME:
Becki: yeah, i know. but only time will tell. u gotta be patient
Becki: i know it's hard, but u gotta develop a friendship first and that'll build u up in her mind
Becki: that u were willing to 'court' her before u could date her
Becki: i think that's a good thing in any girls book
Becki: not to get u into the friend zone or anything...but i think it's a really healthy thing
You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
So, she not only remembered who my driver was, but ALSO where he placed. This girl said she's never had any interest in NASCAR in her life. I'm feeling pretty good about this one....I saw where your boy came in 2nd (or runner up or whatever it's called in NASCAR)
congrats by the way, hope you got to gloat just a bit
Anyways, just wanted to say hi and Happy Monday...
B ;-)
Oh, and iqqi, I *DID* post in her blog the other day. Just once. You're right. I did make her giddy. ;-)post in the damn blog! she gave you the link for gosh sakes, it will make her smile and have giddy feelings for you. don't do it every single day, just one reply to let her know you thought of her.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
