Forget the cash, the cars, and the chiseled jawlines. Female desire operates on a completely different frequency. Primal. Subconscious. Triggers that bypass her logic and hit her on a gut level. Most guys are totally blind to them.

I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

Ive always wondered this, can someone answer it for me?

I asked my parents how the economy and America in general was when Bill Clinton was in office, they said it was great.

Now if Hilary Clinton gets elected, couldnt she just ask her husband for advice? The U.S. was a lot better when clinton was around anyway.

Our economy actually grew a little this last quarter, so no recession. We still have a fairly free market, so we are ok for now. Socialism and taxes kill business. Both Republicans and Democrats are moving more toward full-blown socialism, which is cause to worry.

Presidents have very little effect on the economy, btw.

Well, There's really nothing you can do about it, but at least your government is doing all they can by invading innocent countries such as Iraq to steal their oil, building military bases in different parts of the world etcetera. In the coming years we are going to see fuel shortages everywhere,
sky high food prices, and so on. But it will be a lot worse for poor countries.
There we will probably see hunger catastrophies. The more I read about this
stuff, the more depressed I get. We are now entering into a new more darwinistic era for humanity.

I read that Canada has even larger oil reserves than Iraq.

You Canadians had better be ready for some shock and awe, eh?

That's because Clinton cut the military in half. Not a great trade-off.

co-sign.

the problem the US is facing is the socialization of the economy, high taxes, more control from the governement in the economy, protectionism (high tariff and other barriers for importing), excesive spending over GDP, subsidies, more control of the government over your lives.

you should all worry a lot, because i have seen some of the economic policies the democrats want to implement, and it will be a disaster.

Just because they offer healthcare and welfare for everybody, doesnt mean it will be good, because you have to see the effects that are hidden, like Higher taxes, less freedom, less jobs, etc.

By the way, i think presidents do have effect on the economy, just look at the ronald reagan period, he tried to take away all that socialist chit, and just take a look at what nixon did with the price controls.

the bigger the state of "welfare" grows, the worst the economy will be.

How about telling the truth? Irag is getting rich selling their own oil while the American taxpayers are paying billions to run their country.

building military bases in different parts of the world etcetera.
Yeah I wished foreigners would fund their own militaries too. You think the average American likes paying for most of the world's defense and getting involved and dying in foreign countries conflicts?

And you know who's to blame for this? There's not a current fuel shortage, it's been created by people with their own interests. Oil producing countries, enviromentalist, etc.

I really have to worry about the long term future of Canada. As resources become scarce, we look more and more attractive. Vast fresh water resources, minerals, oil, lumber, space, etc.

And only 30 million people here and a military that wouldn't last a week in a serious attack.

Hopefully we can form some sort of peaceful union before we get taken over outright.

Why are people so worried/ paranoid? Reading most replies, it doesn't sound like most people even have much of a grasp on how our national and international economies work...yet they are scared to death of non existent countries who want to kill us.

The economy is experiencing a slow down for the time being. Read your history , this happens from time to time. While I believe our monetary system is fundamentally flawed, it keeps most Americans alive and under a roof. When we end up like Iraq or another third world country with blood thirsty despots, i'll start worrying...until than, I'll keep going to work!

Lol Synergy, I'm not talking about the 'axis of evil' or whatever, I'm talking about the huge, powerful definitely existant country with which we share the worlds longest unguarded border.

I also have some understanding of how economies work, and I know for the time being the US will be happy enough just buying our resources

But I also know how countries act when desperate or in a state of war.

IF there was a serious crisis that required secure access to resources such as oil or fresh water, ie major war or drought, etc I wouldn't be too shocked if the US decided what's ours is theirs. Probably not an outright invasion, but some HEAVY arm twisting behind closed doors, that's for sure.

Yeah we'll just annex Canada like Nazi Germany did Austria :D. Or maybe if things get too bad here will be like mexicans crossing the border. But seriously, from the what you hear here Canada is so liberal and socialist now most Americans don't want to be entangled in a N. American union.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

We are pretty much Americans culturally, and you would so overpower us in economy and numbers, our political leanings wouldn't matter much.

I thought you were talking about america, not Canada. Thats why I edited out everything I said. In the context I was thinking, I can't see anyone wanting to wage a land war vs america...except maybe the red army.

Dude, do the research. The North American Union is already becoming a reality without the knowledge or consent of the American people. Bush met with the leaders of Canada and Mexico 3 years ago and signed an agreement that would further Nafta in preparation for the NAU.

Soon us Americans won't be using the dollar anymore, we'll be using the Amero. That is why the Fed is crashing the dollar as we speak. The ultimate goal is to widen the consumer base and lower trade embargoes.

It's all about money and the power. Wake up America, you're losing your country!

I believe the worst is ahead if we don't make significant changes next year.

The number one "product" of our America is debt.

More people profit more money than any time in history on letting other people have some. The housing collapse is an excellent example of this, in failure. Credit card companies strike more terror into more people than God. Now add the rising cost of energy and you see a problem.

Right now, Iraq costs roughly $4000 a second. Our current public debt is 9.39 Trillion dollars, and is increasing roughly 1.67 Billion dollars a day. The entire fiasco that is Iraq will probably cost 4-5 Trillion (if not more) when all is said done, cared for, repaired and rehabilitated. This is why you never fight a war of choice, FDR knew it.

China is bankrolling Iraq, there are more mercenaries in Iraq than US personnel, and Osama bin Ladin still lives. We need to figure out what the **** we're doing before the we get deaths exceeding 10,000 US. Though we've destroyed Iraq, so we broke it, we've bought it.

This is acting like a flesh eating bacteria, money that could've paid off social security, a national health care option, FREE COLLEGE, infrastructure overhall, nuclear power generation, energy exploration, and of course Detroit autoworkers.

Our economy has been a military industrial complex, and since military spending is the worst kind of spending there is, this presents a problem. If our nation were to bring back the overseas military bases, each major state would gain roughly 15 installations. Now this brings 2 new points:
1) The economic stimulus this would provide to the nation
2) What kind of country/organization would attack us if we had the top notch, constitutionally sound security?

But we can deal with that later.

The biggest problem at this point is our consumption and lack of refinement capacity of oil. The second is the amount of Co2 that is put into the atmosphere. Build nuclear plants, FORCE Detroit to start developing affordable plug in electric cars and problem is essentially solved. Of course we need to develop better batteries, use sustainable materials, and develop a purchasing system that would support a wider customer base.

Don't let them fool you, Nuclear power is hyper clean, has epic amounts of fuel available, emits zero Co2, and is the only realistic goal if we want to slow down global climate change. Write your representative and tell them you'll vote against them and tell at least 10 people to do the same, unless the start pushing Nuclear power.
