Yes @Bokanovsky I am aware that Lithuanians and Ukrainians generally regard Russians the same way Japanese & Chinese regard one another. Duh.

A very close friend of mine dated a beautiful Ukraininan girl for awhile, around 2 years. In the end she had a crazy volatile relationship with her abusive ex husband and her young son was a terror. My friend, a childless 40 year old sales exec and former club promoter, dumped her because he got to the point where the juice was not worth the squeeze. She had a Russian girlfriend who behaved in a brassy arrogant way & was annoying to everyone (although the guys would all have f*cked her.) My husband commented later that those girls were f*ck and toss only & you'd have to block them after. And that was my impression as well. So either they were truly awful humans or they thought they were adopting what they saw as American "boss bytch" attitude. My Eastern European friends are inclined to the former and know to rule girls like that with an iron fist....

Yeah, the Russians and eastern Europeans I know are all super flashy AF social media influencers or sugar babies. A lot of them go to my gym and just look fake and tend to have that Botox.

Putin is a early-soviet era type of leader that regularly murders political oponents (and unpleasant tweet is enough for his internal security service to take care of whole family of his political oponent when his country is at war - examples are many among liberal fuel industry related oligarchs in recent years). One liberal Russian journalist that criticised him a lot was murdered on the day of his birthday. Alexei Navalny, his last serious oponent, was most probably murdered with precise punch at heart after keeping him for a longer period of time in freezing temperature (it is old soviet KGB way of killing ppl to make it look like a heartattack) others left the country permanently (Kasparov) were thrown to jails or were pacified. He invades his neighbours to reinstate at least partially the borders of USSR and started the largest war in Europe since WW2. Russian planes regularly invade airspace of NATO countries to instigate fear of war in EU nations and keep NATO flank in alert state.

If its going about "Z" - read about Bucha massacre (there were many others like this one), Russians kidnapped thousands of children under his leadership and his soldiers are treated often like canon fodder (they are promised high salaries in recruitment centers that are delayed in payment for new soldiers - because they often die after 1 or 2 salary periods). Ukrainian POVs are raped in Russian POV camps or return from prisoners exchange without penises. That's how good Putin and his government is.

Regarding asking Russian (whether male or female) about his or her political views - most probably he will not get an honest answer in the courting phase anyway so there is no point to ask about them.

Russia has already the largest (1,5 mln of standing force) and the most experienced army in Europe, it's population is also accustomed to state of hybrid war (so it's war readiness is much higher than war readiness of NATO members).

What Russophobia are you speaking about? All sanctions imposed on Russia are direct result of their leaders inability to cease the aggression started 11 years ago.

To not get it totally off-topic:
- both Ukrainian and Russian women are pretty much the same when it comes to dating ie. - they give very feminine allure, they are usually bit more attractive on average than western women (partially due to dressing and acting more feminine in everyday situations, partially due to the fact that slavic men are generally not very attractive, but their women are very hot) however a lot of them expect men to attain very conservative roles and provide for them a lot, they are also prone to cheating or changing partners if a man is too weak and do not know how to set up borders with them - fiercy fights, push&pull relationship dynamics, gold digging characters, sometimes even some violence toward weaker males - they are all prevalent with the hotter eastern slavic women

IMO probably the hottest slavic women are in Czech Republic.

I ****ed a Ukrainian woman for a while, long before the war started, and while she was good in the bedroom and all about me, she also was always wanting me to either buy stuff for her or lend her money, which I always declined.

She would put up a half hearted argument but never really made a big deal about it, but I guess maybe that is a cultural thing? She said that is how things are done over there. I just told her well she isn't over there, she is here and that's not how I do things.

Eventually it just got old and I had to stop seeing her, but she kept trying to get me back for a while.

Haven't heard from her in several years now.

Not all Eastern European people are necessarily the same. My Father's side is from North Caucasus (Ossetia) while my Mother's side is from nice part of Ukraine, Odessa. The family customs/traditions are very different to say the least.

There is a "drive" to do well because a lot have poor background, that explains the behavior mentioned in some of the posts (the flexing). You're in for a good time, especially if you're dealing with any that hav spent some time in the mother land.

I dated on Russian woman, very smart. She was a college professor. Met her when she was at Tulane, now she is at Brown.

She wasn't that much different from other women I've dated except for one characteristic. I don't think it is fair to paint ALL with the same brush, but she did have a number of Russian female friends who would roll in and out periodically and got a sense they were that same. Based on my limited experience... here is my advice....

Russian women deplore weakness in the men they date. No women really like weakness, but my Russian girl absolutely hated any weakness in any man... especially the one they date. You are not going to get any sympathy for any struggle AT ALL. They don't want to hear any b1tching. They expect you to bull through any problem you might be having without complaint. If you are going to date a Russian woman you better put on your big boy pants. She had a very sarcastic sense of humor, and really despised when she saw someone get ahead or promoted, or got tenure if she didn't think they were worthy. But she did seem, IMO to be very fair in her assessment of people.

She didn't have any sympathy for anyone that found themselves in a situation because of their own stupidity. But if they were a victim of pure circumstance, she was very helpful and understanding. Example: She had a friend who was dating an idiot, who ended up getting into some serious legal problems that drug her friend down to the point where she was alone and homeless.... her attitude was 'fvck her' that is what she gets for being with an idiot. Another friend had her husband killed in a traffic accident... she bent over backwards to help her. In a nutshell, her empathy was directly tied to decisions and circumstances.

She was very up front with what she wanted, and she was open to giving me whatever I needed, but if you get too needy, you are fvcking done. There wasn't a whole lot of game playing... and if you play games... you are fvcking done. We dated for a year, and she said that was the longest she'd ever dated an American man. But when she took the job going to Rhode Island... that was it... we were done... clean break.
