"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I started talking to a HB at work. She smiles at me a lot, laughs at my jokes and is always upbeat. I am still getting to know her better before I do anything; the first time we met, she was a bit of a b*tch towards me, so that gives me some pause. I didn't talk to her for awhile after that ,and now she is suddenly very nice.

However, I noticed she will not confirm/add me on Facebook. We are generally all FB friends at work, so my sending the request was no big deal at all.

Facebook clearly isn't a huge deal, I just find it...curious. She's not selective with who to friend - we have a load of "mutual friends" from work, some of whom I'm pretty sure she doesn't know or barely knows.

Problem or sh*t test?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Better of not be friends with her on FB if you like her , keep you out of her radar outside of work area.

It's a stupid game, I've had chicks at work do the same thing to me and I simply stop giving them attention entirely after a while.

She thinks you like her and she is playing games with your affection because she is seeking personal validation for some reason. She's testing you to see if you still like her so she can feel better about herself. She has no interest in you really because she has not even cared to check your facebook to see if maybe you have some other ladies in the picture.

My Suggestion: Neg her when she leaves herself open and does suggestive stuff to you. She's going to do things that only serve to try to string you on. Call her out on it, in a very friendly way. And do NOT go out of your way to be nice to her, let her say hi first!

Appreciate the responses. What you say makes sense. After her act of b*tchiness, I stopped trying to talk to her for awhile. Over the past two weeks, she started the nice/outgoing routine. Not sure what her motive is, but this facebook "game" suggests a hidden agenda.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
