"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Dr. Ruth has passed away

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Never heard of her. Reading the link, I gather she became a sex guru in the 1980s when she was +54yrs old. I fail to understand why anyone in his right mind would follow a +54yrs old twice divorced woman who isn't even physically attractive for advice about sex.
I guess this must be one of those 'only in America' things.

Old bastard that I am, I remember her well. IIRC, she used to advocate for a lot of communication with your partner, that seemed to be her main theme. You know, ask your partner what she likes, that sort of thing.

Given that we live in an era where way too many of us have mistaken expressing ourselves like Dale Harding
, we could all benefit from a resuscitation of clear communication. If not a Taber to shout "Would you cut the bullsh-t and get to the point?", a new Dr Ruth will suffice

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Wow, Cuckoo's Nest, there's a movie you don't hear much about anymore.
The other thing I remember about Dr. Ruth, she used to say that sex was good, it was healthy to have sex, you should have more sex.

There's a lot of first-rate movies which we only hear whispers of now, on account of a miniscule yet highly vocal and indomitable sliver of society deeming them either "Problematic", or(On the other end of the sociopolitical continuum) "Blue Pill". While I enjoyed a few of the early MCU flicks, barely* any Hollywood film made from '16-today boasts writing this memorable

I remember her
I forgot that she was even alive until I saw this post. I had seen her in some media a few times as a teenager in the 1990s/early 2000s. Even then, I thought it was odd that an old lady was talking about sex so freely.

She was blunt and very matter of fact about sex. In those times it was taboo to talk about it. Funny to hear this grandma looking old lady talk about stuff people were doing anyway.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

She was the sweet, old lady bringing degeneracy, and ruining what was left of America

Think about it. There were millions of people they could have given her platform, but they chose an old lady.

They chose an old lady because it would be more palatable.

The slippery slope is real...

We went from this old b1tch saying controversial things in the 90s to letting trannies compete in women's sports.

Hindsight is a b1tch, I tell ya. I'm a millennial that had a front row seat.

I love Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Best movie I've seen in the last 10 years or so.

I don't remember her as being that degenerate, but your point is definitely valid.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
