Somebody told me that when you strain youself while liftin a heavy amount of weight it also destroy your brain cells? is this guy freakin insane or is it really true?

But worrying about that is like worrying about catching a cold from someone on the other side of the world because you're technically both breathing the same air.

Nah, it's just the stereotypical image of bodybuilders being just macho meatheads, all brawn and no brain.

No truth in it whatsoever.

Having said that, do a widowmaker squat set with 150kg on your back and then you'll definitely be reduced to a gibbering moron ..

Definately not. Your only real chance of losing braincells, from lifting weights is, by missing the rack (When finishing a set) and instead dropping the bar on your head.

On a side note. WOOHOO!!! First post on this message board!!! :D
