Downplay the importance of looks = coping mechanism

Most humans innately prefer to have hope than be cognizant of an unpleasant truth that negates that hope even if positive results of that hope NEVER materialize

when guys see a man who is successful with women, usually they will talk it up to the man having good game, a good personality or confidence, is easier on the ego to believe that a man is succesful with women because of something he is doing rather than because of something he is

why because those guys may be able to replicate that man's good game, personality, confidence

they can't, however, replicate his looks, and that's a hard pill to swallow

1. many if not the majority of the guys here have plenty of looks but they struggled with women because of no game

2. maybe they don't want to talk about looks over and over again because it's not something that can be significantly altered and therefore not worth discussing

3 the vast majority of men: A)are good looking enough to attract most women as long as they possess other strengths and B)Do not have enough looks to attract women without any game. therefore talking about the tiny subset of men that can attract women without any game whatsoever is totally irrelevant

4. get out of the house once in awhile and you will see plenty of ugly guys with hot women

more like average or above average men with "hot" women aka above average but not really hot lol
