Update: I get an email asking for help.

I reply "sure, whatsup?" and she tells me she is applying for a job in the country where her fiance is and needs help with doing the cover letter.

I said "yea thats easy. find attached a sample cover letter. just tailor to the job description."

She replies a day later "sorry i'm just replying now you won't believe how busy I have been. I messaged you on whatsapp last night. find attached the job description. thanks."

At this point I laugh because (1) Her fiance apparently sucks intellectually and can't help her. (2) She thinks I'm actually going to do the cover letter for her. (3) She send me that whatsapp message at 4AM.

So I replied. "replied to your whatsapp message. job sounds good. now just copy, paste and edit into the cover letter I sent you."

No communication since. LOL she really thinks she can use me.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

By the sounds of it, she ain't too hot intellectually herself; hence they're made for each other. If she can't write her own cover note, she don't deserve the job.

Find a hot, intelligent woman, man. You deserve it. Are there any in Djibouti??

a beta hanger? i dread that. didn't give her what she asked for and don't plan on contacting her. hopefully that will show her i don't play beta games unless there is a reward.

yea there are smart, intelligent women here. problem is the culture and religion really makes things difficult. i'm applying daily for better positions to get out of here.

Excellent. Focus on your own prospects, rather than those of some broad who by the sounds of it is not going to reciprocate your efforts.

The beta-hanger comment was only figurative by the way. Sounds like you have the right mind set. Always difficult to leave old baggage behind though.

It's a dog-eat-dog world man. Forget anyone who doesn't reciprocate the same level of efforts that you put forth.
