Wow double, that's a really great job from you. I mean, your body looks so good now. Broad shoulders, big arms and a chest looking much better than mine. It's clearly noticable you've been chin-uping alot . I think the BF is not a problem, time to put on the big mass when things are cleared out. I'll bulk the entire time to next spring. Will we see some crazy stunts from this years bulk double?

hey double, and life:

double, how did you get your dips so much stronger in 4 weeks?! i can barely do 4 with like 2.2kg on my back?

im gonna seriously bulk after the summer. gonna intake at least 1.5g protein per lb of bodyweight (only at 1g now!).

I have 23% bf but i find im too lazy to cut! do i have to cut before i bulk seriously?

hey silver, hey life

well i was and am doing dips 2times per week.......so this helps. imo dips is one of the exercises where you can put on weight pretty fast. this and im focusing on dips and chinups, no bench press at all.

i would cut but that doesnt mean you have to. depends on how you feel in your body. i did feel very fat and lazy when i was your bodyfat.

Okay, I'll be slightly blunt. You have 23% bodyfat. Given the way 90% of you guys here 'bulk' (the bbing.com methodology of eating everything in sight) this'll most probably go up a couple of notches after your 'bulker'. So you'll be a muscular fat guy. Is this what you want? Say you don't put much fat on, and you gain, for example, 20lbs of muscle. So what? You've still got the fat.

'Cut' now, strip away that bodyfat to a level you're happy with (unless you're happy now!) and KEEP it there. It's very possible to keep bodyfat in check and grow muscle.. all the time. No bulking/cutting cycles or any sh!te like that. Just to keep on growing.

Become leaner (and possibly smaller) first, but then you'll regain your lost muscle and then some, and you'll be happier with it. This was a mistake I made when I started, and if I could've started out lean I would've done. Instead I had to waste valuable muscle-building time (okay, a while back but still) getting rid of the fat.

It's your decision but I thoroughly recommend you get lean first.. AND STAY LEAN.

Lol man, except for our arguments about protein intake, we pretty much think the same way.

I also don't believe in bulking/cutting, I just eat clean and keep my BF as static as possible slowly putting on pounds.

Ehh, I think anyone with a modicom of success in this sport/hobby thinks the same way, whether they consciously realise it or it's just the way they are through their own trial and error.

Oh, and how many steaks have you had today? :p

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

ouch.. that's the reason why I dropped in weights and are keeping impeccable form. I don't think it's very productive to go the last one or two reps if it means bad form, it just aint' worth it. What kind of pain do you have?

Lightweights. :p

I'd recommend one set of 10-15, in my opinion it'd be much better. (following the same concept as widowmakers)

What do you squat out of curiousity alex? :)

What are widowmakers? They gonna kill me? :p

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

180 for 6 or 7 (not with perfect form either) - but my quads have always been very strong.

Widowmakers, yeah. Basically you do a 'heavy' set of 6-8 reps with your maximum (say 180), then drop the weight to about 70-80% (I'd knock mine down to 130-150) and do 20 reps with it.

It won't actually kill you, but you'll wish it did, lol.

But this is for people who either have difficulty with their quads OR who're just stupid like me and want to get as big as possible in all areas without any thoughts of symmetry or elegance.. unless you guys are desperate for huge quads, you can get away with (as I recommended) a straight set of 8-15 with your maximum weight.

I think the weight is pretty inimportant, it's the effort you put into the lifting.

Widowmakers are 20 rep squats. You take a weight you can lift 10 reps with and do 20 reps instead.

To an extent, but you only get bigger as your weight (or reps) increase.

That's pretty self explationary. I mena if you can lift 4x150 in the squat or 4x75 it doesn't matter as long as you put effort into it.

I agree, and I'll put it in another way. It doesn't matter how MUCH you lift, just how much more you can lift next time.

Everyone knows some skinny wretch who can flat bench 150kg. That's God-given strength he was born with.

A year of lifting later, skinnyguy can bench 160kg.

Some other skinny guy starts lifting and can only bench 50kg. A year of lifting later, he can bench 100kg.

The first guy still out-benches the second but who's going to have the bigger pecs? The second guy because a huge strength increase equals a similar mass increase (if you're eating properly of course).

So no, it's not the number as such, it's the progression.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
