"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

so theres this girl i met at the gym at my school...we had alot in common she gave me her number, we went out on a date that went fairly well. (she asked me on the date and gave me her number without me asking)

we talked online/met up a couple times in the next few weeks nothing too much, as i could tell she wasent as interested as before the date.

she goes to a formal with a diff guy, i didnt go nor asked her.

my roomate is dating her good friend, so i just learned that:
some other guy asked her to formal via a card and she told my roomates gf that he was a joke and laughed at him.

also, she brags about picking up guys and then dropping them.

so recently she asked me to go on a double date to the beach with my roomate, his gf, her and me.

is it even worth my time?
she told her friend that she wasent interested in me and she was just doing it for her friend.

yet, she keeps flirting with me and wanting to hang out...

i am so confused.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

If you're confused, the last thing you need is a double date where she spends the whole time talking to her girl friend while you stay confused.

I'd tell them you can't make it to the beach. Later, call this chick up and ask her out.

On the other hand:

I'm guessing she's almost definitely not interested. So there's no reason to be confused. Just go to the beach to hang with friends, and don't expect anything from this chick.
