Don't beat women too hard at their game (somewhat a field report?)

This is something I have had a problem with recently. A girl would say or do something to me and I would respond back with something better to let them know what's up. I know their game. In other words, I would 'pass their sh!t tests'. But you can't beat them too hard, or else they will feel uncomfortable around you because there are no holes in you that they can latch onto and squeeze for security. Let me give you an example, the one that kinda prompted me to write this thread.

I was at work today and I know that one of my coworkers like me more than just a friend. I had to teach a trainee how to do something via request from our boss, so I was showing her what to do. The other girl was visibly getting jealous and wasn't even trying to hide it. But our attitudes towards each other are still playful. After the trainee left, and some playful banter, I asked for a hug, knowing that she would likely say no (had she said yes, things would have gotten progressively less playful and a hell of a lot more serious, which is still a win for me lol). She looked down at her fingernails, like she was thinking for a second, then said no. I told her "well I feel like having a hug. Cait, gimme a hug". Cait is different coworker, and we're just acquaintances. I said that just to kinda mess with her, I guess you guys call it 'dread game' or 'trying to make her jealous', but I just did it for ****s and gigs really just because it's funny to mess with people like that hahaha. Unfortunately, she didn't take it that funny because she has strong feelings for me. Her jaw literally dropped and then she regained her composure and looked away. After that she kept on saying not to talk to her and that we aren't friends anymore, yadda yadda yadda. But I can tell that it made her visibly upset because it was very blatant, too strong a move. I shouldn't have put myself in that situation where it was either absolute weakness (asking her why not or begging for one, that wimpy ****) or absolute strength (asking you was a courtesy, I'll show you that I can get what I want from someone else right in front of you).

I fixed the situation eventually and she still tried to play games with me (means she is still attracted), but I can see how doing something like that can make her not want to try for me anymore. Part of why I was able to is because she is inexperienced with this kind of stuff; a more experienced woman would not have given me a second chance. I know because it's happened to me before too. I mismanaged it, or was too strong and not sweet enough (I have too much pride to bend for a ***** now lmao but it's coming back to bite me in the ass).

tl;dr: Don't pass women's **** tests too hard or they will feel like their is no hope/point of obtaining you. It can definitely speed things up the 'better' you do, but if you put too much fuel in the engine, you might just burn it out. Hence why it works better on newer i.e. less experienced 'engines'.

I get the reasoning for this, but it’s not a job I really care about. I understand the dynamics at play here. A 19 year old teasing some young gals is much more normal than a 40 or 50 year old trying to act like a teenager towards married women. You have to know what you can get away with and what you can’t. A 40 or 50 year old can speed through traffic without getting in as much trouble as someone like me for instance. It’s about knowing the unwritten rules.

True enough, especially in this day and age. I remember working with this one fellow though who had high SMV - he was tall, good looking, and had a good position. Every day when he came in there would be three or four girls lined up to hug him. I got the impression it was their idea, but who knows?

I’m justbhaving fun with this guys. I do think she’s somewhat cute though and she does make me feel good too. I’ve been too strong with women the last several years though and need to tone it down a bit. I’ve been softer with her than with the last girl so it’s more likely this’ll develop into something. Let’s see what happens.

I use hugs to draw them in lmao. That’s how they fall head over heels for me. There’s a certain way you have to hold them that’ll keep them hooked on you forever. It doesn’t work on me because I know about it and do it better than them.
