"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I have a friend who had been chasing this girl he introduced me to for 5 or more years... and all that time she said she never "saw him that way" and just thought of him as a friend. Recently she went on vacation out of the country, and it was during that time that, out of nowhere, she claimed to like him. Mind you they've been good friends for several years.

Is it just me, or is this something extremely rare? I thought that once you were in the friendship zone, you'd be there for good, but this example demonstrates that maybe you shouldn't totally give up on a girl you're really into. It also seems like a girl really starts to like you when you're not around - when she starts to miss you. There's this girl i'm very close friends with who I used to see every single day last semester, but now that I have her for no classes this semester, she is super nice and touchy when she sees me. David D's advice to give her the gift of missing you is right on. Worked in both cases above.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

No, it's not that rare at all. I've known it happen a lot and have seen friendships turn into solid relationships.

She may not have felt anything for him at one time, but people change and feelings change. Sometimes it may take one gesture, a conversation or a dream to change someones mind.

However, one should never depend on this happening. If a guy is friends with a woman only because he wants more, he's always going to be looking upto her and he will never have her full respect as a man.

I also agree with the belief that "absence makes the heart grow fonder". If you are there all the time, dependable and predictable, she will take you for granted and can never realise her feelings, if they happen to exist. She will think about you more in your absence and realise what she likes about you.

This makes a lot of sense to me. Ever see the movie "Eight Days A Week"? It's about this dude who has known this chick all his life. He spends the entire summer sitting on her front lawn trying to prove how much he loves her. She continually blows him off. Finally, when he says "fvck it" and leaves, he finds her sitting on his front lawn waiting for him.

Okay, now that I fvcked up the ending of that movie for all of you....

A woman will get used to a man's presence, and will even consider him a part of daily life. Kinda like how an attention wh0re gets used to men treating her like gold. Once this person is removed from their life or daily routine, something isn't going to feel right. Much like waking up in an empty bed after living with a woman for 7 years, even if you hated the b1tch. There's suddenly a void in your life, and you hate it.

Definately not an effective or efficient way to get a woman. I wouldn't wait for 7 years.
