"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I know we don't talk about social circles all that much but a lot of us who picked up on this stuff after our school years (teens to early 20s) and don't have that built in benefit of student life (where it is supposedly easy to make friends) do wonder about this very thing.

For those who are getting their lives together in regards to money, finances, career, and life goals; we talk about how it can bring success with women or with better women but do newer better friends also happen as a result?

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

You'll have good friends if you're selective about who your befriend. The bigger difference is the respect these people will have for you and how they interact with you.

Yes it does, the higher the league you play the higher the people you meet and deal with.

You cant hang out with the wolf of wallstreet if you play world of warcraft online the whole day.

Someone said that you are the sum of the 5 people you attend the most and I believe it, but I also believe that the 5 people you attend the most are not that far in terms of value from you.

No, only new acquaintances.

As my late, great friend always said "Friends come and friends go, but the only people you can trust are from the old neighborhood".

There's wisdom in friends that have seen you go through the thick and thin of it all. Survive a job loss, separation/divorce, serious accident, bout with depression, etc.. Old friends will not bow out in the ninth round. They'll say "Come on man, let's go get a beer."

Treasure those friendships because they are rare and are valuable. They let you have a short pity party and then tell you you're being an idiot and to become stronger. I learned who my true friends are when I separated from my ex-spouse and returned to the path of my Don Juan growth.

I had one solid best friend text me once a week during the separation to ask me how I was. In a period of depression where I felt abandoned and discarded, I could count on this good buddy to exchange war stories on the road back to mental health. I hope to stay friends with this guy and a few other rare ones until old age.

Continue to be on the look out for new social circles, networking, and other opportunities. However, never forget the ones that helped you along the way, that know when to call you out when you're not being authentic toward yourself.

Cut out the negative ones that only bring negative energy into your life.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

No. When you are extremely focused on yourself, you don't have time to make friends and screw around to try and meet people.
