"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Does anybody use this "System"?
Is the info in that book basically the same as the info on this website? I was thinking about buying it but I am not sure because It is expensive and I don't think it is some Holy Grail of Info. Do you read ask men.com also? I do but It seems this site is totally different then that site. That site seems to focus on this attitude---women should chase men and men should never chase women. I mean if I have that attitude I am going to be driving away a lot of opportunities for sex, or romance. Who knows anymore.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I've read his book and thought it was total garbage. His whole "interest level" concept is retarded. Like the other person has a freaking meter over their head.

I haven't read all of DYD but so far its very good. If you are going to spend money, I'd recommend that.

I think that Doc Love's "System" is excellent. It distills relationships into a few basic axioms. Everything he writes about is on target. After a few readings things really sink in and you see relationships with much more clarity.

I recommend buying it if you can afford it, and if you are interested in long-term relationships. Don't get it if you are interested in "playing the field," or anything along those lines.

I agree with capboso. Doc Love is on the money with a lot of the things he talks about. Get it if you're into LTR's

doc love

I think the guy is probably right about long term. Whenever I e-mail him he usually has this attitude "move on if she's no good". Basically it's probably better to be cold blooded until the girl really proves you can open your heart, for LTR's.

actually i know some people out there dislike David DeAngelo, but I personally am a big fan of his work. Hearing what he has to say about dating and women feels very close to what is discussed in sosuave. Thing is people always say his stuff is only scratching the surface, which is true, but he only says enough to make you aware of the problems and what NOT to do and WHAT to be aware of.

He doesn't tell you step-by-step what to do, because that's for you to figure out on your own. I'ts more about adapting your own style and approach as opposed to being dished out one-liners and other things of that nature, because eventually they get boring and old and it's best to have it as a part of your persona and what not than to just use up all of someone else's material and end up going "great, now what do i do?".

I'd recommend his stuff especially.

Lol...yeah, I've read some of Doc Love's columns on askmen.com, and I had often wondered the same thing about that "interest level" sh*t. It's like he's just throwing numbers out there--

"Well Bob, her interest level was initially 73% or higher, but since you acted like a complete douchebag, it dropped to 31%..."

Riiight.

Anyway, it's just a gimmick. I'm sure there's plenty of useful information in his program, but my interest level in buying it is about 0%.

As for DYD...I bought the E-book last year, and I've found that for me, the general principles work VERY well. Women love to act "fake mad" when you bust their chops. And then, when you don't give in, they wanna talk to you even more. The challenge, confidence, and independence this type of behavior radiates is captivating to them.

(paraphrased)

I like a lot of his stuff too (other than the ten-minute sales pitch he transitions into towards the end of his mailbags...)

DeAngelo definitely just "scratches the surface," but the funny thing is, that's the hardest part for a lot of guys. His tactics prevent you from killing attraction right off the bat, and he explains WHY certain behaviors kill attraction. I found it helpful.

Some of his suggestions are a little over the top for me, but that's part of the game--finding out which parts work for YOU, and implementing them in such a way that they complement your natural personality.

Both are good, the DocLove system is probably a little better for guys starting out thinking about all of this.
But what I have found, in real life, is that you will find situations that neither of these 'models' predict or handle very well.
Exceptions if you will. The seemingly 'AFC' that has a great relationship with the best looking gal in town. The 'mistakes' I made, pouring my heart out for example, that won me the girl.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Reading doc's articles on Askmen isn't the same as reading {i]The System[/i]. He only glosses over his theories.

I know he use to offer a money back guarantee which shows that he believes in his work. If you are a typical 'nice guy' that dates often, you could easily get your return on investment withing a couple of weeks of using The system.
