Do women make fake dating profiles to **** with their exes?

Here's what happened to me: I saw the profile of an ex in which she claimed she made the profile so she can match with her current boyfriend so they can see their old chat messages. If that was the case, then why did she make up a new profile that is completely different from her old one? What would the odds be that I happened to be on to see it? I sometimes text her friend that claims she doesn't say things to my ex, but I think the friend said I blocked them all on facebook and someone spent the night. I didn't bang the person.

It’s confirmation bias. You already had a suspicion, so your brain started connecting dots to support what you wanted to believe. Confirmation bias is when you look for evidence that proves your belief while ignoring what doesn’t. The reality is, it could’ve been nothing.

Once you've ex'd someone, you shouldn't be bothered what or why they say or do anything.
Who knows, if she was really hot, maybe the fake profile is a catfish of her (you still shouldn't care).

If you're still in contact with her friends, why?
Keep in mind that a female mutual friend is of course still talking to your ex *(so what?), but she's not going to discuss that with you - which is totally appropriate and respectful, and she ought to naturally empathise with your ex more than with you, she simply wants to preserve both friendships..

..unless she's interested in banging you..

If she starts talking about it and taking your side, something's up..
