Latinoman (myself) as a moderator? I can't be one. I'm extremely busy and quite honestly, in a place like this, it is a position that should be taken EXTREMELY serious. People do come in here (some people) asking for advice. And men tend to be proud creatures. We know that. When a man comes in here asking for advice on some very messed up issues...it is because he has nowhere else to go.

I personally believe A-Unit...Francisco...Victory Unlimitted...Lookyoung...Westcoaster...can be great moderators. And I hope they consider doing it.

On the one hand, Francisco would be a great mod.

On the other hand, I don't hate his guts, so I probably wouldn't recommend he become a mod. Having experienced it myself, it's one of those things you wouldn't really wish on someone you liked.

Doesn't matter who you nominate...It matters on who applies. Everyone on the site can want someone to be a mod, but if they don't apply..

For whoever DOES get the mod positions, I'd like to offer the following guide:

(1) You suck. No matter what you do. Get used to it.

(2) Did you know that this forum gets flooded by neo-Nazi groups, KKK, ultra-feminist groups, people who want to offer everybody free iPods and Playstations, and bored 12-year-olds who think posting threads titled "I HAVE SEX WITH YUR MOMS BUTT" is the pinnacle of humor? You didn't know that? Thank a mod.

(3) It makes people angry if you are not making sure that every thread is in its proper forum. They will say, "WTF, mods? Why is this in the Tips Forum? It belongs in Anything Else! Worst mods EVAR!" Then they will cry and proceed to cut themselves.

(4) It makes people angry if you move threads to another forum. They will say, "WTF, mods? Why did you move my thread from Tips to Anything Else? Worst mods EVAR!" Then they will cry and proceed to cut themselves.

(5) Did I already say that you suck no matter what you do?

(6) Drinks in the Moderator's Corner are 1/2 off between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM on weeknights.

(7) Everything you say will be looked at with new scrutiny. Because you agreed to move threads to the correct forum and close or delete inappropriate threads, you are now considered a role model for some of the most f*cked up adolescent-aged and adolescent-minded posters to be found on any forum on the Internet (except the forums where they talk about having sex with cartoon animals). Now you can't say anything remotely controversial without someone saying, "You're setting a horrible example!"

(8) This site, by its very nature, is composed of many people who have -- how do I put this gently? -- social/personality issues. In their real lives, they often do not feel like "alpha males", so they decide to become an "alpha male" on an internet dating forum. So they take on the nearest "authority figure", which ends up being a mod. Now, yeah, they're just like mosquitoes... annoying, but easy to squash. Still, who likes being surrounded by mosquitoes all the time?

I know exactly where you're coming from. I'd have to start holding my tongue on a lot of things. I've been doing that for a while though. It's difficult at times. I'd be one of the quiet ones who'd just try to keep things on track and not interject a ton of my philosophies other than in threads I'd start myself...

I don't think any of the regular members here are quite aware of how much crap comes through the forum. There are lots of cheap playstations to be had, how many people here have more than one account to support their own retarded posts, how many men are apparently attracted to other men, and the vast amount of bots trying to send you PMs right at this moment.

Francisco, this is the opportunity of a lifetime to get another 10,000 posts. Those "Moved to xx Forum" posts add up
