I'm quite interested to see what the point of view here is on condoms. I know a few guys who f*ck with a condom for the first time and then leave it off, somehow believing the girl doesn't have an STD once they've been in there.

I always use a condom. No condom is a dealbreaker for me. The idea of contracting an STD puts me off.

I hate condoms. I almost always hate myself after using them. I'd rather just cut the tip off a condom and trick her instead. But there are STDs out there - just ask that chump who got one from his cheating gf!!!

The first time is always with a condom, after that it depends on my read on the girl, any party chick for sure keep it wrapped. Let us be honest here though, I think every guy on this forum would rather not use a condom if it wasn't necessairy.

that!

Hate condoms but will use them unless I can be sure the girl is not banging someone else. Ideal solution for the best sex is obviously to have a gf on the pill. Careful how you choose her though, or you'll be starting the next "got an STD from gf... what next?" thread

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

I always use a condom no matter if I've been in a relationship for years with someone or not. Besides running the risk of getting something nasty I don't want to risk getting the worst STD of them all, a child. I've heard of too many guys relying on their girl to take the pill only for her to "forget".

I'd rather make sure I'm the one in control of using protection. I'd hate to have my life ruined because some woman "forgot".

I agree with theunflushables.

Always wear a condom, and you are nearly guaranteed not to get her pregnant. You are nearly guaranteed not to get an STD. It is by far the SAFEST route.

I have a friend who wasn't wearing condoms and he had no problems..... UNTIL ABOUT A MONTH AGO! His girlfriend is now pregnant and now his entire life has changed.

Be safe.

A no brainer question in the first place...

Not wearing one ruins your life in so many ways.

My rules: no condom, no sex. Be prepared to walk away if she doesn't like the idea (I have done several times).

My condoms always.

Always carry condoms

Yes, they are uncomfortable and a right pain, but so can unwanted children and some sexual disease.

Choose your partners carefully - Be careful of the ones that throw themselves at you.

I always use a condom no matter what. A few hours of sex is not at all worth running the risk of getting an STD or child for the rest of your LIFE.

Always always use a condom. But if you want to get an STD for the rest your life go ahead.

Condoms and birth control are not the only ways to prevent pregnancies. There are also shots and various things that can be implanted.

Too bad the male 'pill' is still far ways off.

Guys, always use a condom!

I still remember the day I got the blood/urine test vividly and once you've gone thru something like that...you'd never ever do without the condom again trust me

A few years ago I slept with a girl I met in a club while on holiday and managed to contract a STD. The experience following that of having to sit in a clinic get tested and wait 2 months to find out if you've got HIV is probably one of the worst experiences of my life. Luckily I was treated and am now completely healthy (save for too much drinking!) but I would emplore anyone who is happy to sleep around without a condom to rethink their behaviour cause in one moment your life could be ruined simply by not covering up.

hahaha that's one of the funniest quotes i've seen in 2 years of sosuave. Either you're lying or you've never been in a serious relationship before, definitely not one that lasted a few years...

1. if you're worried about your gf giving you std's, then you're staying with the wrong girl

2. the pill has a near-flawless success rate if taken according to schedule. Sure a girl can forget. However, what stops you from asking your girl once a day, right after the time she's supposed to take it if she did? Now if both of you forget, then you're just retarded.

Sure, a lot of the pple here agree with you, but I would have too when I was 15 and just found out about stds in health class. My point is, it's easy to agree with such a statement if you've never been in the situation before. Once you have a serious high quality gf for a long time, you will NOT be using condoms, i guarantee you that.

The pill is great and all, but messing up by not taking it at the right time ****s everything up for longer than a couple of days. I do condom + pill when in a relationship. I won't claim that I _always_ use a condom, because there are rare occasions, but I don't trust the pill when it's something as serious as, you know, knocking someone up.

Nope, dead serious. I do not want kids, ever. And all it takes is for her to get it in her head that she want's a child. All she has to do is stop taking the pill and tell you "Yeah, baby, I remembered."

I've known a couple of guys who all thought their girlfriend (or wife in one case) were on the pill and they all ended up pregnant. I'm not going to let a woman make that decision for me.

So I decide to take responsibility for myself. No need to call me a liar or inexperienced.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
