my opinion: This is popular because women have stopped being tender towards their men, or to men in general, preferring to be confrontational and "sassy". They think that by just by agreeing to supply sex (by typically only opening their legs like a pro would do), they have done all that they need to please their man, but they are mistaken as men need that tenderness as well. And since regular p0rn is typically mechanical, ASMR fills in the need for the tender cuddling after sex.

Imagine if they are this tender to themselves in the mirror and treat their men like crap with a scratchy and deeper voice than normal, and body mannerisms like she is a smaller but aggressive male.

A woman can only be tender to a man she respects. If she doesn't respect you, she will treat you like crap. I notice this in my daily life. At my place of work, women in lower position than me will often talk to me in high pitched girly voices but when they are addressing their equals, they talk in a deeper voice and with less regard.

A lot of men these days are the women in their relationships which gives no space for the woman to be feminine. Men need to learn to reclaim and embrace their masculinity or they will continue to have women like Amy Schumer for wives and girlfriends.
