I just used history to try to explain how the EC has never worked as he wants to believe it does and its creators in fact intended to use it to prevent the justice he claims it promotes, but it's like his brain refuses to acknowledge the evidence I give. But the history you presented highlights my point:

building a coalition, engaging in dialogue, and both sides accepting compromises is what civilized society should aspire to....which is the purpose of the EC....

.....Democracy is mob rule that simply allows for the 51% to shut down the voice of the 49%....surely you'd agree that this is not moral or civilized....

Bear in mind at at the inception of the EC that Blacks and women could not vote, therefore to suggest that the EC was implement to suppress Black and female votes is a mis-characterization....
