I remember bringing a bucket of KFC chicken with me at a costume party one Halloween night. I also brought some Dunkin Donuts when at a few bbqs and a friend's dinner party a few times. Anyone here does the same? Might be a good way to land a good first impression. What do you guys think? I'm thinking of doing that for my next gathering, might be a good etiquette.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

If invited over for a party I always bring something, usually something I know the host would drink/eat...

I don't do it to earn points, I do it because it's how I was raised and was taught that it is good manners to do so.
