People's perception of your actual height can be skewed for so many reasons!

- If your are fat, you will look shorter

- If your legs are shorter (proportionally speaking), you will look shorter

- If your head is bigger(proportionally speaking), you will look shorter

What's very important:

- If you give out this confident aura (not to be mistaken with the over-compensating agressive "confidence"), you will "look" much taller

- If you practice sports that make you fit and toned, you will look taller

- However, if you become a musclehead, you will look shorter

Etc...

The height thing with girls has nothing to do with you. It has to do with her insecurities of not being feminine enough. Too masculine by HER being taller than a man.

Turn it around on her and say, "I'm 5 8' but I've dated girls who weren't insecure about her height who were over 6' feet tall." Plenty of "hot guys" are under 6" tall. Just as an example...wasn't Tupac short? Bon Jovi? Brad Pitt? I think you get the idea.
