This is a crock of sophomoric BS. Written by some vain Hollywood screenwriter who defines the world by his (or her) own pet notions and limitations.
I get up out of bed in the morning cause sometimes the path to getting back into bed tonight is worth the ride
Believe it or not, there are those of us who truly don't consider it our duty in life to entertain others, or be entertained by anybody.
Then your out of the loop!
Tell you what here is an experiment for you to try since you really dont give a shi? about what others think about you.
go stand in a mall, just stand there for 20mins in one spot and try to remain cool calm and not even consider what others may think about you, regardless you will have these thoughts going on in your head if you like it or not:
Am i standing normally?
Do i look like an idiot stood here?
Is anyone staring at me?
Wonder if that girl thinks i am cute?
i bet that guy likes my jacket?
Dam look at me aint i cool stood here, showing the world i dont care, aint i the best!
And things of that nature.
Go read the book before you dismiss what i just wrote it makes total sense.
Hot or not is simply another extension of others trying to gain a feeling of importance through what others think about them, which ever way you look at it.
And i meet people like you all the time, normally, ppl who come out with this stuff usually talk in the 'I' subjective, hence its always about 'you' see an example from the post 'I get up out of bed on a morning to enjoy the ride'! I mean does that statement mean anything? (why look on this as negative, why cant you enjoy the ride by the concept i suggest?) Another example is guys that learn this stuff and still cant help themselves, one guy i was out with last night constantly talking about his achievements what he has done, not in the sense of trying to impress but he simply cant help it!
or take two old ladies last week, both talking to each other, but neither listening to each other, both talking about there lives, it was funny to listen, only time they paid attention is when on of the others actually started talking about what the other was interested in talking about!
Hot or Not is a simple extension of it!
Men and women are as guilty as each other for it.
Is it more feminine to gain approval from others?
we all do it, if your aware of it or not.]
And this concept did not come about by a 21 century Film maker, he simply imbedded a message into the film that has been know for years!
Read how to win friends and influence ppl and it will help shatter any social restrictions you have built up, but no one can destroy them, yes revolver was a good film as the guy was fighting his inner demons which is what, when all is said and done we all do!
Maybe this is too deep in a thread about if men should use hot or not! tbh.
