"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Hi,

I am going for a drink with a girl who is a bit on the gothic side (dark makeup, pale face) in a couple of days and was wondering if anybody has had any experience of goths and what to look out for, how to act?

thanks

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Just work off of whatever type of approach you used to procure the date to begin with. Not all goth girls are the same, some are hardcore emo kiddos who want to be bitten on the neck and drink nothing but red wine, others just like the look and may be rather normal otherwise. You know her better than we do.

I knew one goth girl named Kristen who would chide me because I didn't want to let her cut me with a razor, but another named Shelley who looked even more goth that Kristen, but liked to listen to Simon and Garfunkel and watched Saturday morning cartoons every week. They're all different.

Yea, as sinner said, they're all different. I have dated a LOT of goth girls and I find that the best approach is to be modest and not let yourself seem too confident. Most goths are insecure so you being too confident will make them even more insecure. Start soft. Act really down to earth, have some kind of tragic background (your fiance' died, or your parents used to torture you as a kid, etc.), and take the lead after the first couple of dates because many of these girls will get dominant if you don't take the bull by the horns.
