i would like to say that after reading Player_Supremes thread on how you know if you are an alphahere i must honestly say that i am not an alpha male. i developed my personality in my younger years before i grew to 6'4" 210 lbs. and although im bigger, stronger, and in my opinion better looking than most guys out there i still have the same attitude i had before. psychologically i dont have the alpha personality. physically im intimidating to most everybody.

the interesting thing is this.

i get women anyway. and im being myself.

i almost feel sorry for those of you guys who are trying to be alpha when you are not.

alphas are actually out of their element now days and usually feel left out in a certain way. society tends to alienate alphas to a certain extent and doesn't know how to deal with them.

i think instead of trying to adopt qualities that arent yours people should find their strong points and highlight their personality.

as far as what you said about seduction. there are methods of seduction that fit every character type. if you are more introverted there are seduction tecqniques that work for your personality. if you are alpha and more extroverted there are still other ways to highlight your natural personality.

but you are right. you should be yourself- the polished version of yourself.

No - there definately is something to be said for a man's androgynous appeal.


It also depends on your perspective, and dare I say it your cultural background. Latin men are quite androgynous sometimes, but also macho. Most black men are REALLY fvcking preoccupied with being macho and manly. Asian men are seen as effeminate, but they have their own charm. European men are quite androgynous, but Americna women covet them like nothing else. There IS an appeal to androgyny, but again it depends on your own perspective. Playa Supreme's response about '99% of women being turned off by androgynous guys' is way off base. That is based on his limited experiences as ONE MAN. Not to say that he isn't a ladies man (chilll out P_Supreme.... ), but he hasn't fvcked every woman out there. He certainly doesn't seem to be the artsy or the deep-thinking, tortured artistic type (not saying he's unintelligent.... that is unrelated) - women in those circles are all about the pretty boys that act gay (but are straight). Think of the members of the band 'The Strokes'. A lot of male models are androgynous too, as are many actors. Yet they have a big fan base. It's lame to assume that every woman wants the cave man with the 3 foot dyck and barrell chest with a big spiked club, especially when you consider the kind of society we live in, in the West. If you were in Ghana or the Ivory Coast women would probably want the Alpha type since that place is still stuck in the Stone Age, but we mostly don't need that type of stuff.


America, while it is technologically and economically advanced, seems to be stuck in limbo as far as gender image is concerned. We are more traditional - no matter how unfitting it is with the times we still stick with the 'Me Tarzan... I find food, you cook and clean' brand of gender politics. I don't necessarily disagree with it, but I find it interesting nonetheless. I think that out of all the Western nations, the US is still in its infancy as far as gender politics and identities go.

No. Believe me when I say that other nations are doing everything in their power to work out ways to chip away at US power. We'll see a gradual erosion of US foreign power in the century to come, especially as we fan others' anger at us, and they continue to work to undermine our presence out of spite.

That's because they understood that using one's brute strength and dominance with SHREWDNESS was much more effective that just charing into the fray.


Basically -- without intelligence and carefully calculated moves, your "Alphaness" means shyt-all. You're but just one man (albeit an alpha one) -- but you're up against a whole army of Betas. Better to harness their collective power with diplomacy and cunning, than try to subdue them all.

i like what you pointed out, especially about asian guys because some of my best friends are asian guys and, although they may not embody the steriotypical alpha personality they still get tons of women, especially asian women. guys die their hair and highlight it all the time now days but, it doesn't mean their gay.... and obviously they get women.

androgeny certainly has its appeal physically (for appearance sake).

but id be careful exhibiting too much feminine psychological characteristics.

1. Yep, they sure don't. Cunning doesn't necessarily make you overly intelligent on a IQ test.

2. When I was a kid I took apart this fake bow and arrow set my parents got me. I took a 2x4 and ropped the bow to the front of it. I took a close pin (from my moms luandry)...and attached it to the end of the board. I took those fake assed arrows and took off the rubber suction tips and sharpened them down. By carving out a groove on top of the board and loading the arrow into the groove then pulling the string from the bow back to the close pin I had a trigger for my home made Cross bow.

Again some kind of jealous response about men of size. I have never used any type of steroid in my life. When I competed in bodybuilding I did the natural competitions. 1994 Southern Natural Championships in San Diego Mike Ohern if you follow physic stuff came in 2nd place and launched his modeling carreer after that.

It's true that black guys are very preoccupied with being macho. I mean, I can't cut it any other way. It's true. No offense. And in regards to your response about Latinos, again you're seeing everything from your perspective - though I can't blame you.... it's everyone's tendency to see what they see in their limited lives as 'the Truth'. It's all subjective, and even I'm not free from that. Not sure if you've ever travelled outside the US, but Latin men from outside the US are sometimes effeminate - very chatty, flirty, etc. If you think that 2nd generation Puerto Ricans and Mexicans constitue the whole of the 'Latin World', you're sadly mistaken.


Also, I am not against big men. What the heck? LOL! All I was pointing out was that big men with no cunning are just work horses. They're cannon fodder in a battle. Just a number, a statistic. A large powerful man with corresponding intelligence is very dangerous. Bill Clinton was a large man at 6'2" and roughly 200 pounds, and VERY cunning and clever. His size didn't matter much in modern politics, but imagine him in medieval times or whatever. I think he would have been formidable.
