So many different value systems at play in the forum.
If you observe many of the threads here you'll notice a subtle attempt (or not so subtle) to propagate a certain value system often at the expense of proliferating another value system...
I don't get it. What's the obsession with having everyone validate your own value system?
Don't get me wrong, so many threads are helpful and offer value, experience and wisdom without trying to force a value system down your throat. We all have our own value systems, our own philosophies.......
.....hell, the sexual strategy argument/debate is a prime example. I've had my faire share of LTR's but they wouldn't be my cup of tea these days (in fact I kind of have one not really wanting one/ a plate who I gave perhaps too much time to and it developed...) ....but it would not really be my life philosophy (I'll not let it happen again). However, I'll not force that value on someone who believes in LTR's.
Why not offer the guy advice based on his own sexual strategy?
Bill Hicks made a comment based on critics of marijuana when he heard them say "marijuana kills your motivation"......Bill responded "what if your life goal is to get stoned all day and watch cartoons in your underwear?"
Different value systems.
I wonder is it virtue signaling or in game vocabulary DHV'ing
