I'm curious, how does a confident person act and a arogant person act? And how do you know if your a confident person or an arragont one?
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
that has nothing to do with confidence. that's objectivity.Alex DeLarge said:Arrogance is limiting your mind to one setting and always following it.
Example: Get an F on a paper that you thought was great, immediately assume the professor is an idiot who cannot understand your genius writing ability and accept the fact that he will fail you.
Confidence is an unlimited mind which considers multiple perspectives and always draws upon something optimistic from the experience, even if it was a self-deprecating event.
Example: I got an F on this paper that I thought was great, but by checking out the corrections and criticisms the professor made, I will rewrite this paper and exercise my writing skills to perform better in the future.
I couldn't agree more. Every time I start to get arrogant, I start to get complacent and start letting myself go. That sense of humility is what tells me I can always strive for better and is what keeps me working harder and improving myself more.perseverance said:Arrogance leads to complacency, complacency means you are not focused and on the ball. If I am not focused and not on the ball, then I am not in control and that's not good feeling for me.
You can be confident while also displaying humility, humility is my best trait by far, apart from maybe my eyebrows which resemble the very hungry caterpillar or my sense of humour. Humility is a wonderful trait and I feel the most confident people in this world are also the ones that show a large amount of humility.

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
this is exactly what i mean by what normal people call "arrogant" is not arrogant at all. Rex Ryan is not arrogant. half the time he's trying to convince himself and his team of what he is saying. He's just talking, arrogance is not in what you say, it's in how you behaverhcp83 said:For football fans:

she probably meant that he's "rude".zekko said:The real question is do women find arrogance attractive? I would gather from Backbreaker's answer he thinks so. I could definitely see it, I imagine some girls find it attractive.
On the other hand, I was watching people speed dating on TV the other day, and one girl complained about a guy being "too arrogant". And it wasn't just a case of a woman saying one thing while actually finding it attractive, because she did not seek another date with him.
Yeah, that's what I think as well. The Bad Ass Canadian said:Arrogant people need to tell you how confident they are... Confident people don't need to say anything at all.
I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
