I got a recommendation for everyone here...magnesium glycinate. Glyine actually has studies showing it helps with sleep on its own but it binds extremely well with magnesium and allows for high bioavailability without GI side effects seen with typical forms of magnesium such as magnesium citrate or oxide.

I took about 2g the last couple nights and I was basically nodding off before I even went to bed. Very tranquill feeling. Didn't even need melatonin which I normally do.

The older I get the less sleep I need. I can’t sleep less than 6 hours or more than 7.

Yes. 6-7 hours is the norm for me these days.

Due to various factors such as body aches, sleep apnia, stress, etc.

Timed release 2-3 stage Melatonin and Zinc right before bed does the trick if you need a lot of sleep.
