Does anybody know exactly what dextrose/maltodextrin is and/or does.

And does anybody have a link with the evidence.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

its a simple carbohydrate and is used in different things.. they use it in beer to feed the yeast and make it ferment

its commonly known as 'corn starch' as well, but can be made from wheat or corn.

it can be used as a thickener also.. that's its main purpose.

do a web search on it you will find millions of links.

its one class up from a mono, but its not a complex carb.

Dextrose is the same thing as glucose (blood sugar). People generally consume it post workout for 2 reasons.

1. To replenish lost muscle glycogen from workouts

2. To spike insulin shuttling the nutrients (mainly creatine and protein to your muscles).

Dextrose is very high GI which means it will spike your insulin largely.

Maltodextrin is a glucose polymer also with high GI.

I would only advise you to take it post workout.
