Hey,

How do you guys handle it.

I used to play it down with a joke or put it in perspective because it embarassed me *which would sort of fish out another compliment


but now I just say thank you.

ANy good ways when meeting people. I find it awkward and it sort of gives me nothing to work with in the conversation.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

No, but seriously, usually my face just lights up with a big smile and I'm really happy and say thanks...but then I turn it back on them and return some kind of compliment straight away...usually keeps the conversation moving...but then again what would I know, I'm stillf rAFC...:rolleyes:
