"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

While these are not the best pictures of me, they are all I have right now. Im just wondering if I am as ugly as I think I am? I seem to get rude looks from women. I try being smiley but not goofy and it doesnt seem to help. I have never really been smiled at by a women which I feel is the key to opening a conversation with them so it kinda makes it hard to meet them. I was just in a relationship for 7 years and it just ended a couple weeks ago, thanks to some bi-polar ******* making my girlfriend feel sorry for him and invading our otherwise happy relationship. Although he is not the main cause he is definitely a big part of it. Anyway I know I need to work out which is something I have tried in the past with poor results, but will have to embark on again.

You have to be you... but IMHO lose the facial hair. It makes you look older than you are and a LOT of women do not like facial hair.... if you find one that doesnt mind you can grow it back.

There is a reason high powered sales people do not have facial hair. Study after study show that people with facial hair are considered more suspicious and less trust worthy. This is NOT an opinion.

Try hitting a gym and loose the excess weight. DO THIS FOR YOU. When you look good you FEEL good. When you FEEL good you NATURALLY exude confidence.

dude, you're not ugly at all. Like you said, get in shape. When you do, purchase some updated clothes and study men's fashion so you look sharp. When you look sharp, you feel sharp and confident. Most importantly, read the dj bible (read the NEWBIE post at the top of the board) so you can get an attitude. Nuff with the "i'm ugly" crap. You're starting to believe it.

I am a woman who is very looks oriented, so let me field this one. The facial hair is fine. Get your hair styled...maybe a little spiky on the top. You have nice eyes but that shirt you're wearing in that picture is too busy/loud. I don't think there's anything wrong with your face. If the shirt you have on is any indicator of your sense of style, it's probably your clothes that are getting the funky looks. TLC has a great fashion show called "What Not To Wear". They have guys on there as well as women and if you watch the show when they're doing a makeover on a guy it will help you get a better idea of fashion that looks good. Clothes can make a huge difference in how women look at you. They don't have to be expensive, but they should look good, fit right and be in style.

Put your pics on hotornot.com and let ladies decide. After only 2 weeks you'll have around 200 opinions to give you a better idea. And no,you are not ugly at all. With this mug you can play the field pretty nicely.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Ok,
Looked over your pictures. aside from the fact you may need to update your look a little you are very attractive. May I say you can easily make yourself HOT!!!!without too much work. Have some confidence. Act the part and you will be very successful with any woman you want.

You are all very kind and informative thanks you all for you opinions!

One of the reasons I wear facial hair, is to hide a slight case of acne that is being washed out in those photo's. It really sucks Im 28 and I still have it. :/

Yeah I should be more confident, another problem I have is good communication, can you guys recommend a good conversational coach or something?

Thanks.

I have tried going to a stylist, despite the wrath I incurr from friends and family, but the ones I have been to charge me like $50 and they do the same kinda hairstyle that just a haircutting place does. Is there a opinion board of stylist?

Thanks again.

I'm not sure as to whether or not there is an opinion board of stylists', but as for the acne I can tell you that if you ask your dermatologist about Accutane, you will be rid of it in a few weeks if he puts you on the medicine.

The bishop,

Yeah do not have insurance right now or the funds to see a derm. But I will say that I have tried accutane in the past and it worked for like 4 months and then the acne came back. Also I was feeling pretty psycho after taking it.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Nate,

I have 2 words for you. ProActiv!!:) My boyfriend"s sister 18 had a bad acne problem. She tried everything. But as you said the acne came back after she stopped the accutane. she also tried retin-A and some sort of Glycolic acid something.

Then, she bought Some Pro-Activ lotion from Ebay and after a couple of weeks all,and I mean ALL of her acne went away. She has really pretty skin now. She said not to buy the kit from Pro-Activ, but to get it from Ebay. The whole kit last her about 6 months and cost $40??

It is the only thing I have ever seen advertised on television to work. All the other things are bogus.A few other people she recommened this too are also acne free now by using it. I wonder why dermatologist do not have anything as good to give patients.

Please try it. I can almost guarentee it will work. It is an absolutely amazing product.

Hey Jenna,

Thanks for your help!

You know I tried that in the past and it just kind of irrated the hell out of my skin, plus after reading the ingredients I see that you can get all the components on their own for less. It has a face wash, benzoil peroxide, glycolic acid. Course this stuff your sis gets could be a better formulation or something.

I think pic number 2 looks the best. A bit of a tan might help improve your appearance.

You're not overweight and don't have a hump on your back. Thinks are working in your favor!

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Nate,

My boyfriends sister says you do not have to get the whole kit. Just something called the "Repairing lotion"?. She says that is the key ingredient. You can buy any other astrigen to clean your face like Sea Breeze at Rite Aid.
She also uses pure Olive Oil soap. She says something about it counter balancing oily skin. You can do a search on that. It does'nt make any sense to me why you would use an oil based soap. But she claims it will work and you do not need the wholw proActiv kit.

Anyway, hope this helps. By the way, I agree with everyone else. You are a very nice looking guy who can really do well with the ladies.

Good luck,
Jenna
