"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Hey guys, I recently just got out of a relationship, and moved back in with my parents. I havn't even really moved in with them, 95% of my stuff is chillin in their garage and the rest is in the house. I'm 20 now, and so far it appears that my parents are content with continuing to treat me like a 15 year old teenager that they need to keep track of. They need to know where I'm going, what I'm doing, and how long I'm going to be gone every time I leave, and if I just leave then they call my cell phone and leave voice mails if I don't. How can I get my parents to stop treating me like this?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Get the 'for rent' newspaper classified ads. Circle a few promising ads and leave it out where mom will find it. Say nothing about it, and see if it affects how they treat you.

I remember having that problem too and they would always pull the "if you're under my roof you obey our rules and show us respect" statement.

In the end I just spoke to them directly and explained I am an adult and I need to feel my independence. I also told them that the way they treated me made me undermined as an adult. It worked out well. They had to adjust and there was a period where they tried hard to act cool, but it worked out in the end.

I've already moved out before Bible, and they know I'm kind of looking for a place right now so that wont do much.

Hopefully the indepence speal works.

heres what i do

where I'm going,
meeting some friends

what I'm doing,
not decided yet

and how long I'm going to be gone,
who knows! might be back tonight, might not....

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

How about just telling them what you are doing and where you are going, it's not totally unreasonable?

You never get too old for your parents not to care. Be glad that someone gives a fk about you, even if it makes you feel like a kid... Let go of your ego. Deal with it and move on.
