"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

There is this girl who I know used to like me a couple years ago. Last year, going to college messed things up for me. A girl who was sort of friends with her told me this. This girl who told me is one of those who knows everything about everyone. The girl I liked is a flirt though. She also has a self-esteem probelm, even though she is popular.

The other day I saw her and we talked for a while. I noticed that she couldn't really look me in the eye for very long when we talked. I'm wondering if she felt shy around me because she still had feelings for me. She sort of had that nervous face she had when she asked me to prom in eleventh grade. I just got this werid feeling after our encounter that I could possibly have a shot with her again.

If I asked her to go somewhere with me, she'd say yes. I only have three months to try something. My biggest probelm with her is that I know she's a flirt and a flatterer. I don't know how to deal with those kinds of people. Any opinions?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

First off, that is NOT coquettish behavior. Coquettish behavior is when a girl is deliberately hot/cold to you. She is just nervous and likes you.

Only have 3 months to try something? By 3 months, you should be sick of her.

Here's how you deal with her behavior.

Ask her out
Kiss her
Take off her clothes

She seems to flatter everyone I see at parties and is like a flirt.

If a girl cannot hold eye contact for long, I'm wondering what it means. I heard that they are supposed to be the ones intimidated by us, not the other way around. Real men make women feel that the man is in control and stuff... I've listened to the CDs from David DeAngelo. I'm just wondering what to do. I'm wondering if there is reason to suspect that she may like me and what to do with that.

I have nothing to say regarding your situation, I just thought I'd mention that I'm impressed that someone on this board knows what "coquettish" means.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

She's just one of those people who flirts and flatters alot. Its so hard to tell when people like that mean anything. How do you deal with girls like that? Or even guys who are flatterers?

So no one else in this forum wants to know about how to deal with girls who are total flirts?

Everyone knows a girl who is a huge flirt, yet there are guys out there who are able to tag them.

Other than "ignoring her" or "playing hard to get," what are these guys doing to them?

I've read this forum, read the bible, and I'd listen to David DeAngelo's tapes. All are good. Its worked for me on girls I'm not into. How do I make it work on the flirty ones?

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
