Honestly, I've come to believe that a BPD ex is a lot of our reasons for being on this site to begin with. It was mine that laid the groundwork for me needing to get outta the beta frame of mind, why not others? Plus, the majority here seem to have encountered one at some point in their lives. Promiscuity is a trait, read the DSM-V. The diagnosis requires 5 out of 9 criteria, so it's alone won't qulify for one. I completely agree that we have many false BPD claims, mostly from young members. Those with real encounter will sooner or later end up on support sites like bpdfamily and desperately try to figure out what happened.

Just add these up you got at least 6 percent for Cluster B, and that is on the lower end of the estimates.
